Chief Justice Iftikhar to visit Quetta on March 31.

ISLAMABAD, (APP): Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will travel to home town Quetta on March 31 and address Baluchistan High Court Bar Association the same day, announced Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan, president of the Supreme Court Bar Association, here on Wednesday.

Aitzaz Ahsan and other leaders of lawyers held a meeting with Justice Iftikhar after which the announcement was made.

He said Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry would be received at Quetta by a large gathering of lawyers and members of the civil society.

Justice Chaudhry will stay in his home town for two or three days and after that he will proceed to Sukkur to address Sukkur Bar Association.

He is going to Quetta for the first time after March 9, 2007. He will also visit various other cities of the country to thank the lawyer community and address the bar associations.

The lawyers who met the deposed chief justice included Justice (Retd) Tariq Mehmood, Munir A. Malik, Saeed Akhtar, Ali Ahhmed Kurd and Mir Baz Khan Kakar.
