No compromise on judiciary issue, says Kurd.

ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of the lawyer’s movement Ali Ahmed Kurd has said that the lawyers community would not make any compromise on the judiciary issue and the House would not be allowed to run if the judges were not restored.

Talking to media after a meeting with deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary, Ali Ahmed Kurd said that the lawyers respect the thirty-day timeframe for the restoration of the judges and do not want any clash with the Government.

Responding to a question, Ali Ahmed Kurd said that the pre November 3 status of the current judges of the Supreme Court would be acceptable for us, adding that the incumbent judges had taken the oath under Provincial Constitutional Order (PCO).
