Lawyers’ fraternity boycotts courts.

ISLAMABAD: In view to renew their demands for restoration of all deposed judges, Vibrant Lawyers all over the country on Thursday boycotted Courts and participated in various rallies to express solidarity with deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.

On the special call of Supreme Court Bar Association, Lawyers continued to record their protest and participated in various rallies all over the country including Islamabad for the Independence and Supremacy of Judiciary.

Characteristically, clashes occurred between Lawyers and Police as Police tried to stop the angry and furious Lawyers to enter Constitutional Avenue, Radio Pakistan Chowk and Pak Secretariat in Islamabad amid barbed wires.

Various got injured while Six Lawyers were arrested during fierce clashes between the two parties.

Despite presence of deployment of heavy contingent of police force, Lawyers managed to cross all hurdles in reaching Supreme Court Building.

Secretary General Supreme Court Bar Chaudhry Muhammad Amin was barred to enter the Supreme Court that prompted angry mob of lawyers to take law in their hands.

The fuming lawyers did not appear before the Courts on Thursday and pressurize the Government to reinstate the deposed judges.

They were carrying placards and raised slogans thus dispelling the impression that Lawyers Movement was weakened due to taking fresh oath of some of the judges.
