NEW YORK: An important meeting to finalize the arrangements of awarding historical welcome to deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary after his arrival in the United States on November 16 would be held today (Sunday) in New York.
The final touch would also be given to accommodation arrangements of Iftikhar Chaudhary during his stay in the United States.
President of US-Pakistan Lawyers for Rights and Chief Organizer of the administration committee of Chief Justice, Rana Ramazan told Online that Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary after his arrival would participate in a dinner to be hosted by Pakistani community.
Nearly 2000 people from different segments of the community would participate in the dinner and the deposed Chief Justice would also address on the occasion.
Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary on the next day after his arrival would receive lifetime membership from New York Bar while on November 19, Harvard University would honour him Freedom Award.
Deposed Chief Justice would also address to well-known universities of Los Angels and Washington.
Pakistani professionals, doctors, students and traders have assured that Pakistani communities from different states of the United States and Canada would give historical reception to Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary.
Closed sources of deposed Chief Justice told that he would appeal to Pakistani settled in the United States to make contribution to steer the country out of current economic crises. Sources further said that Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary would ask Pakistani experts and professionals to offer their services for Pakistan.
