Constitution provides no legal provision of sacking judges: Jst. Wajihuddin.

RAWALPINDI: Former Chief Justice Sindh Court Justice (r) Wajih ud Din has said that there was no legal provision of sacking a judge or to appoint or restore her/her previous seniority.

While addressing during the lawyers’ protest here on Saturday, he said that Supreme Court of Pakistan had reinstated Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry by bypassing the Supreme Judicial Council.

He further said that it is due to the lawyers’ movement that compelled Musharraf to doff his uniform and later on to tender resignation. He said that everyone was aware of the strength and popularity of lawyers’ movement.

He said that rulers of country have not only failed to provide justice to the masses but they have also failed in providing the basic amenities of life to the masses.

Similarly, he said that success of upcoming ’Long March’ on 09 March was also inevitable as it was need of hour.

He also cleared that Long March only belongs to Lawyers. Therefore, political parties must avoid participating in it.
