Protest today against eviction notices to judges.

LAHORE: The members of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), Lawyers Civil Society Student Action Committee and Concerned Citizens of Pakistan will stage a protest demonstration today (Sunday) outside the residence of SCBA president Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan against the issuance of eviction notices, served to chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and other judges.The protest will be held at 3pm outside 5-Zaman Park, declared sub-jail for the SCBA president. SCBA spokesman Muhammad Azhar said the protestors would voice their demands for the restoration of the judiciary, constitution and democracy in the country and the immediate release of all detained lawyers. staff report
