QUETTA,(APP): Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) announced on Wednesday the election schedule for the year-2008-09 and appointed vice chairman Balochistan Bar Council-BBC, Jamal Khan Mandokhel as presiding officer for the election, a SCBA announcement made here said.
It said that the presiding officer would receive nomination papers from October 11 to 14, from 08:30am to 03:30pm, at the office of BBC in the premises of Balochistan High Court. The scrutiny and objections on nomination papers would be decided on October 16 and the list of the contesting candidates would be issued on the same day.
It said that the contesting candidates would file appeals against the acceptance or rejection of nomination papers on October 17 which would be decided on October 18. The date for withdrawal of nomination papers is fixed as October 20 while the final list of the candidates will be issued and displayed on October 21.
The polling will be held at Bar Room here at the premises of BHC on October 28 next, the announcement of the election schedule added.
