Govt not serious in resolving judicial crisis, says Kurd.

Islamabad: President Supreme Court Bar Association Ali Ahmed Kurd has said that the government is not serious to resolve ‘judicial crisis’.

He said had it been serious it would have initiated dialogue with us, but no one has approached us so far in this regard.

He said this while talking to the media outside the residence of justice Iftikhar, where a large number of lawyers of Islamabad Bar Association visited to see the deposed CJ off for Sialkot Saturday.

President Supreme Court Bar Association, Ali Ahmed Kurd and Sardar Ismatullah also joined the lawyers on the occasion.

President Supreme Court Bar Association Ali Ahmed Kurd said lawyers of Lahore Bar locked the courtrooms on their own. “All the small and big courtrooms would have been locked, had they given call to legal fraternity of the country,” he said.

Secretary Islamabad Bar Association, Raisat Ali Azad while talking to ‘The News’ said, “lawyer’s movement would get faster under the leadership of Ali Ahmed Kurd, as legal fraternity of the country has full confidence in him.”

He said that the legal fraternity of the country is still united and dedicated on the issue of restoration of deposed judges. He said lawyers would not take rest till the restoration of all deposed judges including deposed chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.

Lawyers on the occasion raised slogans ‘Chief Tary Jan Nisar Baishumar Baishumar’ and showered petals on the car of justice Iftikhar when he left for Sialkot.
