Newly elected office bears of IBA meets the Chief Justice.

ISLAMABAD: The Newly-Elected office bearers of Islamabad bar Association (IBA) held a meeting with sacked Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudry here Wednesday in heading of newly elected president Niazullah Niazi and exchanged views on lawyers’ movement, long march and on other related issues.

Newly-elected President of IBA reiterated that the lawyers’ are all set to play their key role for the restoration of deposed judiciary in the heading of President Supreme Court bar Association Ali Ahmed Kurd and a sit-in will also be staged during the 9th March’s long march till the reinstatement of the deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudry.

He also urged on the incumbents to reinstate all the sacked judges for the cause of sovereign judiciary in the country.

Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudry while paying tributes to the lawyers’ movement stated that the sacrifices, as laid by the lawyers for the sovereignty of judiciary would be written in golden words in history of judiciary and the lawyers’ movement will be culminated with success, he added.

Meanwhile chief justice will left for Lahore on 24th January to attend the oath taking ceremony of Lahore bar association and will also address the oath taking ceremony of newly elected office bearers of Lahore bar association and the Punjab Government will accord the official protocol for the Chief justice on his arrival in Lahore.
