Karachi: Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Sunday visited the residence of late President of Karachi Bar Muhammad Ali Abbasi and condoled with his family members amid stringent security measures.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in perpetual peace and condoled with his family members terming him as a man of sheer principle.
The 56-year-old lawyer died of cardiac arrest a few days ago. Describing his death as an irreparable loss to the legal fraternity, CJP said Abbasi had always played a leading role in the lawyers’ movement.
He said that he was a source of inspiration to his juniors. Analysing his role as a mentor and a role model, he further said his services would always be remembered by the legal fraternity.
