In this regard, a special meeting of coalition parties was held in Islamabad in which it was decided that
PM Gilani would appear in the Supreme Court to express his stance over NRO and other cases.
Supreme Court ramped up the pressure on the beleaguered government Monday, beginning contempt proceedings against the prime minister for failing to carry out its order to reopen a corruption case against the president.
The leaders of allied parties would also appear in the court along with Prime Minister.
A special meeting of the Parliamentary Committee of the coalition partners of the government was held in Islamabad presided by Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and the heads of parliamentary parties and groups.
The issue like pro-govt resolution in the National Assembly, memogate and NRO case were also included in the agenda of the meeting.
